Here’s something a bit more official on the closure I just posted about too.

The San Juan National Forest is planning to implement Forest-wide Stage 3 fire closure this week.

Heads up on a possible closure if you have plans on visiting this summer. It is expected that starting Tuesday June 12th the San Juan National Forest will go under a Stage 3 fire restriction which will include no public access into the forest and limits administrative access.

Please pay attention not only to closures but to any sign of smoke or fire any where in the Colorado back country. If you see or smell anything don’t hesitate to report it so it can be checked out.

Awesome chance to help out for those who are able!

Don't forget that our 1st clean up project since adopting Yankee Hill through the Forest Services Adopt-a-Trail program is this Sunday June 10th. We will be meeting at the OHV Parking area just outside of Central City at 9:00am to assign areas to teams of people. If you are interested in helping out please go to our Event set up on our websites events calendar (link located below) and register today so we have a good estimate on how many to expect there. Also if you will be bringing anyone along with you PLEASE let us know or have them register for the event also.

We would like to thank the USFS Clear Creek Ranger District for allowing us the opportunity to help and Adopt Yankee Hill. We would also like to send a huge thank you to our supporters of this Event and their generosity to help make it happen; Stay the Trail, JC's British, ASI Sweeping and The Edge Automotive.
